The DeKalb Lady Bears made the trip down Hwy. 82 to New Boston on Tuesday to face the Lady Lions in a district contest, with the Lady Lions coming out on top by a score of 6-0.
Junior hurler Lauren “Loh” Hurst earned the win on the hill for New Boston, scattering six hits and striking out four in the shutout win.
Anijah Gray took the loss for DeKalb, giving up just three hits and striking out two. Madison Taylor came in to relieve Gray in the 4th and allowed one hit and struck out four.
