One of the oldest rivalries in Texas high school football will take back to the gridiron this Friday night, as the New Boston Lions will play host to the DeKalb Bears.
The Lions are 0-1 after a loss to Paul Pewitt last week and the Bears are 1-0 after blanking Prairiland 35-0, but all of that matters little this week as the two teams are pretty evenly matched, and either side could win.
For New Boston, the lionshare of the effort to take down the Bears will come on the feet of the swift and the sturdy.
