Flower lovers can pick their own little piece of The Netherlands at Lone Star Flower Farm.
“I’m bringing a little bit of home to Texas,” said Dirk de Boer. “When I was growing up, we rode a bicycle to school everyday. And everywhere as we were riding to school a farmer was growing strawberries, another had flowers, another had broccoli, another had cauliflower. So all the way up to school I saw that all the time.”
The idea behind the lily farm came when de Boer was approached by Niek Laan to bring a piece of Holland to the area.
