The Lady Lions continued their onslaught of scheduled foes on Saturday with a 15-0 win over the visiting Paul Pewitt Lady Brahmas, as Morgan McAlexander was again flawless on the hill.
McAlexander hurled yet another no-hitter and the Lady Lions run ruled the Lady Brahmas in four innings. She had 10 strikeouts in the contest.
At the plate, Carlee Ratcliff continues to swing the bat like Thor’s hammer as she had a triple and a homerun and drove in five more RBI’s to continue a season where she has been near unstoppable with the stick. Alaysia Henderson remained hot as well with three RBI’s and Grace Duffer added a pair of runs batted in.
Redwater’s hurler Bethanee Calicott also had her best stuff on the mound on Friday, as the Lady Dragons shutout Queen City 10-0.
Calicott pitched a complete game allowing just one hit and striking out 12 to earn the win.
At the plate, a host of Redwater’s lineup pitched in to secure runs as the Lady Dragons scored seven times in the 4th inning on hits from Mallory Brown, Haley Latham, Lexie Robinson, Kassidy Warner and Jordan Walraven.
For the game, Walraven and Keeley Wilbur had three hits apiece. Walraven had three RBI’s while Wilbur and Latham added a pair each.
The Hooks Lady Hornets went on the road to face Atlanta and scored three times in the 3rd and held off the Lady Rabbs to earn a big 3-2 win.
Lexie Frachiseur notched the win for Hooks, going the distance and allowing two runs on eight hits and striking out six.
The Lady Hornets scattered 10 hits in the contest with Emma Farquhar, Karlee Clark and Sidney Pardue turning in multi-hit performances.
The James Bowie Lady Pirates hosted the Avery Lady Bulldogs late last week and sent them home with their tails tucked as Lady Pirates won the game 16-6.
Addy Hammons earned the win for James Bowie allowing six runs on six hits and striking out three in her time on the hill.
At the plate, Josie Grant led the way with four RBI’s for the Lady Pirates driving in a pair in the 2nd inning, and clutch RBI hits in both the 3rd and 5th.
The Lady Pirates put the game away in the 4th as they sent eight runners across home plate fueled by hits from Grant, Savanna Smith, Ashton Roberts, Khloe Walker and Makenzie Hilton.
For the game, the Lady Pirates tallied 18 hits with Hilton, Grant, Smith, Bruce, Roberts, Emily Latham and Sheridan Byram all having multiple hit performances with the bat.
The DeKalb Lady bears also earned a win last week with a 4-2 win over Queen City.
The Lady Bears scored three times in the 5th to put the game away.
MaKaila Daniels earned the win for DeKalb as she pitched a complete game allowing four hits and a pair of runs while striking out five.
Big hitters for the Lady Bears were Samantha Prince, Hope Murphy, Kaelynn Alvarez and Hanna Mullins.
