A lot of you reading this right now already know that I have returned to my desk in New Boston and once again the publisher of your hometown newspaper. It is a privilege to be back and one that I shall not take lightly.
My friend, Heather Russell, is now across the street in the 3 Bostons Museum, lending her plethora of talents to some organizations that are much needed, and they will benefit from her sitting at her new desk, and so will the folks of New Boston and Bowie County.
Being back in Bowie County makes me extremely happy, and it has also reinvigorated my need to be a good journalist. There is something about writing about the people and places that you call home that kind of wipes the slate clean and opens up possibilities. It has opened my eyes once again to the potential to make where we live better for all.
