I took a ride this morning down a long, dirt road in the country. Heather went with me this time. We went to see a memorial and we went to pay our respects. We went for a chance to remember, and we went for a chance to look forward. Most of all, we just went because we needed to go.
The scene has changed.
On that dusty country road, where just a moment ago, three young ladies left us too soon there is a curve. It is a curve that most of us will never forget. Just a simple curve in a simple road, that now means so much to so many. There in the curve there is still a memorial to those three young ladies. The memorial seems to grow each time I visit. It is a sight filled with teddy bears, photos, simple, hand written messages, three colorful crosses, and even a bag of Cheetos.
