Trial dates set in area prostitution, trafficking operation

Trial dates have been set in Bowie County for four men connected with a sex-for-hire operation.

Rashaan Cunningham, 46, of Texarkana, Ark; brothers Brandon, 39, and Marcus Palmer, 38; and Ryan Layne, 48, of DeKalb, Texas, will each appear before Bowie County District Judge John Tidwell in separate trials. The four men were indicted by a grand jury in July 2022 for alleged continuous trafficking of persons, a state felony.

If convicted, the four could each face 25 to 99 years or life in the Texas Department of Corrections.
