Working at one place for several years is a sign of a hard working individual, and De Kalb ISD is losing a hard working woman. This woman has worked there for 24 years, and even in retirement is helping out.
Margie Pate has been working at De Kalb ISD for 24 years now, and recently retired on May 30 of 2020. She has been working as the Administrative Assistant for 12 years now.
Even though she has already retired, she is still working in her spot until the new Administrative Assistant can get started. She will then stay on a few more days to train the new assistant and show her the ins and outs of the job.
