There is a new place to workout in De Kalb. Just North of Highway 82 is “The Gym in De Kalb” which opened their doors on February 1 of 2020. Since opening they have made improvements and have added more equipment as well.
Opening a gym in De Kalb was not something that owner Leah White had always dreamed of, but something definitely in God’s will now.
Leah states, “I was staying at home and homeschooling mine and my husband’s kids until 2017, and after that I decided that I wanted to go back to work. This was put on hold for a little bit due to being diagnosed with breast cancer. In 2019 after the cancer, I went to work at De Kalb Physical Therapy, and heard from customers how they wish they did not have to drive very far to go exercise. After much thought and praying, I believe that it was God’s will for me to open a gym here in De Kalb.”
