Marsha Storey Newkirk passed away Sunday, July 16, 2023 at her home in De Kalb, Texas. She was 71.
Marsha was born May 3, 1952 in Clarksville, Texas to Quillard and Adelle Miller Storey. She was the co-owner and operator of Rural Sanitation in De Kalb. Marsha was a member of Spring Hill Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Bennie Nell Bearden; one brother, Ronnie Wayne Storey; and one nephew, Elliott Storey.
She is survived by her husband, Billy Newkirk of De Kalb, Texas; children, Heather Daniel and husband, Scott of De Kalb, Texas, Tye Easterly and husband, Brandon of De Kalb, Texas, and Cody Newkirk and Sally Oen of De Kalb, Texas; one sister and brother-in-law, Quilla and Henry Burkett of Arlington, Texas; five grandchildren, Jordan Daniel, Luke Daniel, Sloan Easterly, Sunny Newkirk, and Chloe Newkirk; one great grandchild, Aspen Rivas; special niece, Angie Kelsoe, her husband, Robert, and their children, Whitney, Kaitlyn, Cassidy, and Jake; and numerous other relatives and friends.
Services will be 2:00 P.M. Friday, July 21, 2023 at Bates Family Funeral Home in De Kalb, Texas with Rev. Paul Burkhalter officiating. Interment will follow at Spring Hill Cemetery in De Kalb, Texas.
