Janet Eliose Walker of New Boston, Texas passed away Sunday, April 23, 2023 in a Texarkana, Texas care facility. She was 75.
Janet was born November 2, 1947 in Foreman, Arkansas to U.L. and Oma Beck. She was a homemaker and was of the Baptist faith. She enjoyed family gatherings and loved her husband, her children, and spoiling her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers; and three grandsons, Jammie Parnell, Coby Parnell, and Karry J. Smith.
She is survived by her husband, Larry Walker of New Boston, Texas; her children, Lisa and Michael Griffin of New Boston, Texas, Eddie Cooke of Smithville, Oklahoma, Gary Cooke of Mena, Arkansas, Sandra and Michael Parnell of Smithville, Oklahoma, Tommy Cooke of DeQueen, Arkansas, Johnny and Alisa Cooke of Lockesburg, Arkansas, Charles and Derina Walker of Texarkana, Arkansas, Bobby and Lana Walker of New Boston, Texas, Kelly and Carol Walker of New Boston, Texas, Danny Dean of Dallas, Texas, and Denise Bray of Norman, Oklahoma; one sister, Sue Carmichael of Jacksonville, Florida; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; and numerous other relatives and friends.
Services were at 2:00 P.M. Thursday, April 27, 2023 at Bates Family Funeral Home in De Kalb, Texas with Rev. Jimmy Woodard and Rev. James Boyd Strain officiating. Interment followed at Magnolia Cemetery in New Boston, Texas.
Visitation was held at 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Wednesday, April 26, 2023 at Bates Family Funeral Home in De Kalb, Texas.
