Joshua Scott DeRamcy

Joshua Scott DeRamcy

Joshua Scott DeRamcy of New Boston, Texas passed away Thursday, April 20, 2023. He was 35.

Josh was born August 24, 1987 in Texarkana, Texas to Jeffery Scott DeRamcy and Susie Sherman DeRamcy.

He was a 2005 graduate of James Bowie ISD in Simms, Texas. Josh was the owner and operator of DeRamcy Masonry, a business he inherited from his grandfather, Jim DeRamcy. He enjoyed hunting, truck mudding, four-wheeler mudding, and side-by-side mudding. Josh was fondly referred to as “Last Minute” by those who were close to him due to him working on his truck until the very last minute before leaving on a ride. He and Stacey spent so much time and money on one truck in particular that it became known as “High Maintenance” until it was later changed to a gold body and became “Gold Digger”. The sound WomBom-Bom will be remembered as the noise heard when Josh was driving his truck hard.

He was preceded in death by three grandfathers, Jim DeRamcy, Pete Sherman, and Gene Lynch; great grandparents, Charles and Jo Sherman and Harvey and Mary Braley; and one special uncle, Michael DeRamcy.

He is survived by his wife, Stacey DeRamcy of New Boston, Texas; two sons, Jacen DeRamcy and Westen De-Ramcy of New Boston, Texas; his father, Jeff DeRamcy of Simms, Texas; his mother, Susie DeRamcy of Simms, Texas; two grandmothers, Donna Carmeli of Omaha, Nebraska and Tommie Lynch of Wake Village, Texas; and numerous other relatives and friends.

Services were at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, April 29, 2023 at First Baptist Church in New Boston, Texas. A graveside service followed at Chapelwood Memorial Gardens in Texarkana, Texas.

Visitation was held at 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Friday, April 28, 2023 at First Baptist Church in New Boston, Texas.
