Cecil Elliott Penny, of Texarkana, Texas, passed away Saturday, March 4, 2023 at a Ft. Worth, Texas hospital.
He was 80.
Cecil was born March 14, 1942, in the Oak Grove Community of De Kalb, Texas, to James Floyd and Myrtle Mae Clearman Penny. He was the Owner and Operator of a Foundation Repair Company and served in the Texas National Guard. Cecil was a member of Eylau Baptist Church in Texarkana, Texas.
He was preceded in death by his parents; 3 sisters; and 7 brothers.
He is survived by two daughters and sonsin- law, Cheryl and Randy Dickerson of Hudson Oaks, Texas and Heather and Billy Stricklin of Ft. Worth, Texas; a brother, Phillip Penny of Ashdown, Arkansas; 4 grandchildren, Corey Hickman and her husband, Cory, Brooke Alford, Allison Dickerson and Caleb Eaves; 4 great grandchildren, Ava, Dawson, Ryder and Cash; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Services will be 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, March 8, 2023 at Bates Family Funeral Home in De Kalb, Texas with Robby Bates officiating. Interment will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery in Oak Grove, Texas.
