Demond Monta Easter of De Kalb, Texas passed away Saturday, February 4, 2023 at Christus St. Michael Hospital in Texarkana, Texas. He was 44.
Demond was born October 9, 1978 in New Boston, Texas to Georgia D. Easter and Larry Wherry. He attended New Boston ISD and also obtained many degrees in job skill programs. He was employed with Brookshire’s Warehouse in Tyler, Texas. Demond spent many years away from his family in which he had recently returned home to reunite with his family. Demond was of the Muslim faith and beliefs. “There is not God but God, and Muhammad is the Messenger of God”.
Demond was preceded in death by his grandparents. He is survived by his fiancé, Janet Betts of De Kalb, Texas; his mother, Georgia D. Easter (Lamont) of Atlanta, Texas; his father, Larry Wherry (Keirra) of De Kalb, Texas; four sons, Tyler Rodgers of New Boston, Texas, Demond Easter, Jr. of Dallas, Texas, Desmon Easter of Dallas, Texas, and DeMonta Easter of Dallas, Texas; two daughters, Ja’Shoneke TiJuan Williams of New Boston, Texas and Tyeisia Shun’e Easter of Texarkana, Texas; two sisters, Roshonna T. Stewart (Keion) of New Boston, Texas and JaLisa Kirk of Texarkana, Texas; two brothers, Roosevelt Easter of Texarkana, Texas and James Kirk, Jr. of Texarkana, Texas; five grandchildren; and a host of nephews, nieces, aunts, uncles, and friends.
