Ronnie Burleson passed away Monday, February 20, 2023 at his home in New Boston, Texas. He was 69.
Ronnie was born March 19, 1953 in Maud, Texas to Marvin Elgin and Marjory Lou Ivey Burleson. He was a retired truck driver. Ronnie was a former member of New Boston Riding Club and enjoyed trail riding. He was of the Baptist faith.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Elaine Burleson Shaver.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Burnett Burleson of New Boston, Texas; three daughters and two sonsin- law, Shelly and Zack Burleson Hammonds of New Boston, Texas, Stephanie and Jamey Plunk of Simms, Texas, and Karri Culpepper of New Boston, Texas; three sons and two daughters-in-law, Ben Burleson of Ottawa, Iowa, Michael and Jina Mitchell of Simms, Texas, and Mark and Courtney Burnett of Simms, Texas; two sisters and one brother-in-law, Rowena and Roland Stroman of New Boston, Texas and Rhonda Higgins of New Boston, Texas; one brother-in-law, Leslie Shaver of New Boston, Texas; fifteen grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren; and numerous other relatives and friends.
Services were at 2:00 P.M. Friday, February 24, 2023 at Bates Family Funeral Home in De Kalb, Texas with Rev. Steve Minter officiating. Interment followed at Ringwood Cemetery in New Boston, Texas.
Visitation were held 1:00 P.M. to 2:00 P.M. Friday, February 24, 2023 at Bates Family Funeral Home in De Kalb, Texas.
