Doyle Wayne Sikes passed away, surrounded by family, Saturday, December 10, 2022 at his home in De Kalb, Texas. He was 59.
Doyle was born October 14, 1963 in Dallas, Texas to Billy Gene and Maudine Kathryn Sikes. He was the 2009 - 2010 recipient of the Avery Honorary Chapter FFA Degree. Doyle was a Past Patron of the New Boston Chapter #700 Order of the Eastern Star, Past Master and Endowed Member of the De Kalb Masonic Lodge #9. He was a 2013 recipient of the De Kalb Lodge Golden Trowel, a Class A Certificate holder since 2008, District Deputy Grand Master in 2011 and District Instructor from 2014 - 2018. Doyle was of the Christian faith.
He was preceded in death by his father; and one sister, Kathy Sikes.
He is survived by his wife, Beverley Burgess Sikes of De Kalb, Texas; three daughters and sons-in-law, Jessica and Dalton Pickens of De Kalb, Texas; Heather and Zach Hawkins of Texarkana, Texas, and Raelissa and Luke Mathews of Simms, Texas; one brother, Billy Don Sikes of De Kalb, Texas; one sister, Glenda Kay McFarland of Corpus Christi, Texas; seven grandchildren, Kalei Fletcher of De Kalb, Texas, Ally Hawkins of Texarkana, Texas, Daphne Hawkins of Texarkana, Texas, Karson Baggett of De Kalb, Texas, Rachel Hawkins of Texarkana, Texas, Quinnleigh Jo Woodard of De Kalb, Texas, and Tripp Mathews of Simms, Texas; one special nephew, Ryne Sikes of De Kalb, Texas; and numerous other relatives and friends.
Services will be 11:00 A.M. Thursday, December 15, 2022 at Bates Family Funeral Home in De Kalb, Texas with Rev. Steve Minter officiating. Interment will follow at Roberts Cemetery in De Kalb, Texas.
Visitation will be held 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Wednesday, December 14, 2022 at Bates Family Funeral Home in De Kalb, Texas.
Memorials may be made to the Shriners Hospital of your choice.
