Spencer Allen McDaniel passed away Sunday, December 25, 2022 at his home in De Kalb, Texas.
He was 84.
Spencer was born December 18, 1938 in Atlanta, Texas to Colure and Marion Lee Landers McDaniel.
He was a graduate of the De Kalb High School class of 1956 and attended Texarkana College. Spencer retired as Quality Control Supervisor for Bethlehem Steel and was a Veteran of the United States Army. He was a member of the Moose Lodge and a Life Member of the NRA. Spencer was of the Baptist faith.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Dorothy Jo Rickles; and one brother, Earl McDaniel.
He is survived by two sons and one daughter-inlaw, Shawn McDaniel of Mustang, Oklahoma and Jason and Amy McDaniel of Michigan City, Indiana; one daughter, Sue Krentz of LaPorte, Indiana; seven grandchildren, Rachel Krentz, Kathleen McDaniel, Jacob Krentz, Mira McDaniel, Ellen McDaniel, Christian McDaniel, and Bridget McDaniel; and numerous other relatives and friends.
Memorial services will be held at a later date. Cremation carried out under the direction of Bates Family Funeral Home in De Kalb, Texas.
