Elsie Faye Thompson of De Kalb, Texas passed away Monday, September 26, 2022 in Marietta, Texas. She was 79. Elsie was born May 19, 1943 in De Kalb, Texas to Charlie and Corine Wyse Banks. She was a home health care provider and was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Cleven Thompson, Jr.; four brothers, Edmond Banks, Charlie Banks, Jr., David Banks, and Homer Banks; one sister, Betty Jackson; and one daughter, Teresa Berrillo.
She is survived by four daughters and two sons-inlaw, Tammie and Greg Shepard of Lubbock, Texas, Josett and Melvin Anderson of De Kalb, Texas, Tank Thompson of Wylie, Texas, and Cleda Thompson of Caddo Mills, Texas; four sisters and one brother-inlaw, Edna Pearl and Johnny Washington of Marietta, Texas, Joan Turner of Annona, Texas, I.V. Duncan of California, and Kaye Banks of California; one special friend, Antoinette Jolly; seven grandchildren; and numerous other relatives and friends.
