Junior was born June 12, 1950 in De Kalb, Texas to Virgil Rankin, Sr. and Hazel Jean Finley Love. He was retired from Red River Army Depot where he worked as a mechanic.
Junior was an outdoorsman who loved the land and enjoyed fishing and hunting. He was of the Christian faith.
