Doris Lucille Mitchell of De Kalb, Texas passed away Tuesday, November 1, 2022 at a Texarkana, Texas hospital. She was 89.
Doris was born May 27, 1933 in the Old Salem Community of New Boston, Texas to Virgil Alvin and Fannie Pleasant Mc-Cright Hanna. She was a homemaker and a member of Spring Hill Baptist Church. Doris enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and watching sports.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, James Hester “Sonny Boy” Mitchell; two sisters, Louise Mitchell and Pauline McIntee; two brothers, Earl Hanna and Adrian Hanna; one son, Terry Don Mitchell; and one great granddaughter, Mia Hook.
