James Bowie seniors earn coveted $140K Terry Foundation scholarships

Two James Bowie High School seniors are the first in the district to be named Terry Scholars.

Stacy Rayburn and Trevor Beal, both 17, were each awarded the Terry Foundation Scholarship to Texas State University. The Terry Scholarship will provide full tuition and other expenses with an estimated value of $140,000 for each student.

Wendy May, JBHS counselor, says Rayburn and Beal are the first ever students in the district to become Terry Scholars.
