SALLIE E. (WHITE) KISSEL

On Sunday, June 19, 2022, Sallie E. (White) Kissel, of Atlanta, TX, passed away at the age of 97.

Sallie was born to Samuel and Sallie Ingram on January 23, 1925 in Fluvanna, TX, and was the youngest of nine children. She grew up in the Wards Creek area, graduated from James Bowie High School, and was a longtime resident of New Boston, TX before moving to Atlanta, TX.

Sallie, known as “Mamaw” to family and friends alike, was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. Mamaw was a strong woman with a generous heart. She loved the Lord and prayed daily for Him to take special care of her family and country. Her faith, strength, and determination carried her through many hardships during her lifetime.
