Joan Murray Grigson of Richardson, Texas left her earthly family for her heavenly home and family on January 2, 2021. Joan was born June 11, 1953 in New Boston, Texas to Crockett Jr. and Loleta Murray of De Kalb, Texas.
We miss her kindnesses, gentleness, positive spirit, constant love and bubbly personality. Joan fought Lymphoma with grit and without complaint for three years. Our loss is the gain of Heaven as she joins her father and eldest son in a joyous reunion.
Joan was a devoted mother, wife, sister, aunt, sister-in-law, best friend and confidant to many. She was a dog-lover, a canasta player, a world traveler, a coffee drinker, a social butterfly, a shopping partner and a selfless companion. She was a joy to travel with, she made others feel comfortable and put everyone’s needs above her own. In high school, she was a majorette, member of the band and voted “Most Beautiful”, a title she held long after. In college, she was a member of Chi Omega sorority and held lifelong friendships with many of her Chi O sisters.
