HERMAN LOYD MINTER
Herman Loyd Minter of Simms, Texas passed away Thursday, July 2, 2020, at a Texarkana, Texas hospital. He was 70.
Herman was born July 30, 1949, in Naples, Texas, to William Dewey and Syble Kerbow Minter. On December 18, 1982, he was married to Donna Kruse in Simms, Texas. He was a retired Pipe Tally Crew Foreman from US Steel and was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Simms, Texas. Herman enjoyed his retirement and loved gardening, ranching and watching his grandchildren play sports.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, W.D. Minter.
He is survived by his wife, Donna Kruse Minter of Simms, Texas; three sons and daughters-in-law, Keith and Lori Minter of Simms, Texas, Jon and Monica Minter of Simms, Texas and Steelie and Amy McCuller of Maud, Texas; three brothers and two sisters-in-law, Burl and Patricia Minter of Simms, Texas, Milton Minter of New Boston, Texas and Troy and Candi Minter of Leander, Texas; a sister-in-law, Patsy Minter of San Antonio, Texas; a sister-in-law and her husband, Nancy and Ray Leavings of Simms, Texas; 11 grandchildren, Hayden and his wife, Bailey Minter, Trenton Minter, Brennen Minter, Brooks Minter, Kasen Minter, Mason McCuller, Kaci McCuller, Rylee McCuller, Alex Sultz, Brynn Sultz and Lane Sultz; and numerous other relatives and friends.
Graveside services will be 10:00 AM Monday, July 6, 2020 at Sand Hill Cemetery in Simms, Texas following guidelines issued by Texas Governor and CDC. Services under the direction of Bates Family Funeral Home in De Kalb, Texas with Bro. Shannon Crawford and Bro. Steve Minter officiating.
