Rita Sue Hooker of De Kalb, Texas passed away Friday, March 20, 2020 at a Texarkana, Texas hospital. She was 70 years old.
Rita was born January 22, 1950, in Dallas, Texas, to Bobby Ray and Iva Earlene Pogue Benedict. She was a Law Enforcement Officer and a News Reporter for the Bowie County Citizens Tribune. Rita was a De Kalb Kiwanis Club Lay Person of the Year and a member of Big Woods Community Church in De Kalb, Texas.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters, Linda Keeling and Sandra Miller.
