On Wednesday March, 22nd De Kalb ISD announced in a press release the resignation of superintendent Chirstopher Galloway, Phd.
“Dr. Christopher Galloway has announced his resignation as Superintendent of Schools for the DeKalb Independent School District. An Agreement has been reached which allows Dr. Galloway the ability to pursue other interests and permits the Board to pursue hiring another Superintendent. The Board and Dr. Galloway have entered into the agreement believing it is in their respective best interests.”, reads the press release.
De Kalb ISD School Board President Kyle Dooley said, “The DISD board thanks Dr. Galloway for his time and effort serving as the Superintendent, and we wish him well as he moves on to other opportunities.” “ Our district remains strong because of our fantastic administrators, teachers and staff”, said Dooley. “Many accomplishments our district achieved during Dr. Galloway’s tenure came as a direct result of the dedication and effort of those staff members.”
