William Eddie Elkins, 72 of Simms, Texas departed this life on September 5, 2019 while camping in his favorite Taylor Park, Colorado mountain spot.
Eddie was born on January 25, 1947 to the late William “Preacher” Elkins and Lillian Cordell Tidwell Elkins. Eddie is survived by his wife of 53 years, Nancy Evans Elkins; His daughter and son in law Stephanie and Donny Sparks and his son and daughter in law Evan and Deanna Elkins; four grandchildren Landon and Brecken Sparks and Emily and Meagan Elkins; one brother and Sister in law Danny and Sharon Elkins; two nieces, one nephew and a host of relatives and friends.
Eddie loved to fish, explore jeep mountain trails, cheer on the Texas Longhorns and watch early morning Colorado sunrises.
