JAMES EDWARD LEE

James Edward Lee, 83, passed away Monday, July 1, 2019 at his home in Avery, Texas.

James was born April 9, 1936 in Avery, Texas to Obie Willie and Gladis Lewis Lee.  He was a retired painter for Red River Army Depot.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Jimmie Lee; two daughters, Davida Leigh and Joyce Guillroy; and one brother, Velton Lee. 

He is survived by one daughter, Carlotta Hill of Avery, Texas; one sister, Yvonne Cooper of Avery, Texas; nine grandchildren; several great grandchildren; and numerous other family members and friends. 

 Services will be 11:00 AM Wednesday, July 3, 2019, at Bates Family Funeral Home in De Kalb, Texas with Bro. Bobby Wages officiating.  Interment will follow at Avery Cemetery in Avery, Texas. 

Visitation will be held 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM Wednesday, July 3, 2019 at Bates Family Funeral Home in De Kalb, Texas.
