Reba Blackburn passed away Sunday, July 7, 2019 at her home in De Kalb, Texas. She was 82.

Reba was born September 3, 1936, in Lufkin, Texas, to Arnold and J.L. Jordan Johnson. She was a homemaker and a member of the Assembly of God church.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Rev. John Blackburn; a daughter, Brenda Schwab; and a granddaughter, Jennifer Crump.

She is survived by her daughter, Judy Ann Blackburn of De Kalb, Texas; a brother A.J. Johnson of Conroe, Texas; a sister, Yvonne McDonald of Lampe, Missouri; 6 grandchildren, Mickey Glover, Misty Roberson, Tiffany Cockrum, Tomi Crump, Michael Crump and Clay Schwab; and numerous great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, other relatives and friends.

Services will be 2:00 PM Thursday, July 11, 2019 at Bates Family Funeral Home in De Kalb, Texas with Robby Bates and Dwight Drake officiating. Interment will follow at Hubbard Cemetery in De Kalb, Texas. 

Visitation will be held from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Wednesday, July 10, 2019 at Bates Family Funeral Home in De Kalb, Texas.
