Charles Pirkey, 79, of Mt. Pleasant, Texas passed away Saturday, June 15, 2019 at his home. 

Charles was born November 5, 1939, in De Kalb, Texas to Choice B. and Mary “Sissy” Crow Pirkey. On April 9, 1971, he was married to Sandra Jackson in DeKalb, Texas. He was a retired Teacher with Mt. Pleasant Schools and was a Baptist. Charles was a car enthusiast, an avid reader and an outstanding basketball player.
