VERNA DERUE
Verna Lee DeRue, age 86 of New Boston, Texas passed away Tuesday, April 2, 2019 at her residence. Ms. DeRue was born February 28, 1933 in New Boston Texas. She was retired from Red River Army Depot, member of Redwater First Baptist Church and is preceded in death by her parents, one brother and sister.
Survivors include one daughter and son in law, Gayle and Michael Evans of New Boston, Texas, one son and daughter in law, Donald and Carol Barfield of New Boston, Texas, 6 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and a number of other relatives and friends.
Funeral Services will be held at 3:00 P.M. Friday, April 5, 2019 at the First Baptist Church, Redwater with Rev. Todd Reed and Rev. Mike Powell officiating. Interment will be in New Boston Cemetery, New Boston under the direction of Bates Rolf Funeral Home, New Boston, Texas. Visitation will be from 2:00 until 3:00 before services at the church.
