CECILIA LAVERN MCCORT
Cecilia Lavern McCort, 72, passed away Monday, February 25, 2019 at her home in New Boston, Texas.
Cecilia was born November 21, 1946 in Clarksville, Texas to Chester Wilson and Christine Lavern English Kennedy. She was retired cashier and a member of the Congregational Methodist.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Gary Kennedy; and her son, Anthony Kennedy.
She is survived by her husband, John McCort of New Boston, Texas; three brothers and one sister-in-law, Don D. Kennedy of Lewisville, Arkansas, Charles Edward and Elaine Kennedy of Onalaska, Texas, and Deland Kennedy of Texarkana, Texas; and numerous other relatives and friends.
Services will be 2:00 P.M. Friday, March 1, 2019 at Bates Family Funeral Home in De Kalb, Texas with Rev. John Barfield and Robby Bates officiating. Interment will follow at Avery Cemetery in Avery, Texas.
Visitation will be held 1:00 P.M. to 2:00 P.M. Friday, March 1, 2019 at Bates Family Funeral Home in De Kalb, Texas.
