ADA GADDIS HADDOCK

Ada Gaddis Haddock, 103, of Avery, Texas died Tuesday, November 27, 2018 at a Clarksville, Texas care facility. Ada was born October 21, 1915 in Colgate, Oklahoma to Thomas and Effie Tisdell Gaddis. She was Homemaker, who helped her husband with the ranching and was a member of the Assemblies of God. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Samuel Weldon Haddock; one daughter, Evelyn Kelly; one son, Sammy Haddock, one grandson, Keith Tidwell; one granddaughter, Lynn Kelly; and two sisters, Evelyn and Leota. She is survived by three daughters and one son-in-law, Vivian and Melton Brown of Kaufman, Texas, Jo Smith of Maud, Texas and Rita Bishop of Post, Texas; two sons and two daughters-in-law, Ray and Ruby Haddock of Avery, Texas and Kent and Kay Haddock of Avery, Texas; two brothers, Ed Gaddis of Oklahoma and Jack Gaddis of Oklahoma; fourteen grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends. Services will be 2:00 P.M. Thursday, November 29, 2018 at Bates Family Funeral Home in De Kalb, Texas with Rev. James Sparks officiating. Interment will follow at Avery Cemetery in Avery,Texas. Visitation will be held 1:00 P.M. until 2:00 P.M. Thursday, November 29, 2018 at Bates Family Funeral Home in De Kalb, Texas.
