The Hooks Lady Hornets will face off with the Hughes Springs Lady Mustangs in the Area round of the softball state playoffs. The three games series will be played at Marshall High School with games Thursday and Friday starting at 4:45 p.m. Game Three will be Saturday at 10 a.m. if necessary.
The Hooks Hornets will challenge the Mineola Yellowjackets in the Bi-District round with Game One Friday at 6 p.m. at Mount Pleasant. Game Two will be Saturday at 10 a.m. and Game Three will follow if needed.
The Maud Cardinal baseball team is also in the Bi-District round of the state playoffs this week. The Cardinals will take on North Hopkins. Game one of the best-of-three series will be Friday in Hooks with first pitch scheduled for 6 p.m.. The series will finish on Saturday at Paris Chisum starting at 2 p.m.
