PERRY LEE GATLIN

Perry Lee Gatlin, 73, of De Kalb, Texas died Tuesday, October 30, 2018 in a Texarkana, Texas hospital. Perry was born March 21, 1945 in De Kalb, Texas to Oval and Margie Hillis Gatlin. He was a retired Brick Mason and was a Veteran of the United States Army National Guard having served during Vietnam. Perry was a member of Plantation Baptist Church in Malta, Texas. He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Gloria Harkins; and one nephew, Shannon Humphrey. He is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Kelly and Andrea Gatlin of De Kalb, Texas; two sisters, Carolyn Humphrey of De Kalb, Texas and Jean Steel of Texarkana, TX; one brother, Larry Gatlin of De Kalb, Texas; two grandchildren, Cooper Gatlin and Nolan Gatlin; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Services will be 11:00 A.M. Saturday, November 3, 2018 at Bates Family Funeral Home in De Kalb, Texas with Bro. James Boyd Strain officiating. Interment will follow at Woodmen Cemetery in De Kalb, Texas. Visitation will be held from 10:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. Saturday, November 3, 2018 at Bates Family Funeral Home in De Kalb, Texas.
