Bowie County 4-H recently recognized four of their graduating seniors with scholarships.
The 4-H Support Foundation has conducts fundraisers to raise funds for scholarships for the Bowie County 4-Her’s. The Foundation awards a $2,000 scholarship for a graduating senior(s) as well as a $1,000 scholarship for college freshmen.
This year’s recipients of the 4-H Support Foundation High School Scholarship is 8-year 4-H member Laura Fincher of Texarkana. She is a past Gold Star Award and I Dare You Leadership Award recipient. Laura has been very active in the Natural Resource project areas and has served as a teen leader. She plans to attend Texas A&M - Commerce where she will study Sustainable Agriculture and Food Systems.
