State Bank has filed an application with the Texas Department of Banking to open
a new branch bank in New Boston. Assuming regulatory approval, the branch will
open in late summer 2021 at the corner of McCoy and Hoskins in the closed Wells
Fargo branch building.
Joe Nichols, State Bank’s CEO, is excited to be opening a branch bank in New
Boston. “We are very familiar with New Boston and the surrounding
communities. We plan to remodel the closed building to the State Bank brand,
but more importantly, staff the branch with outstanding bankers to serve
customers. We will deliver our community banking services in the traditional
face-to-face manner while providing digital services that our customers moreand-
more desire.”
In 1934, State Bank opened in De Kalb. It now has branch banks in De Kalb,
Clarksville, Texarkana, Nash, and Atlanta. The bank has $335 million total assets
and $34.5 million capital. It employs 68 people.
