Members of the Alpha Phi Alpha fraternity presented a $5,000 check to the Texarkana College Foundation for the Robert A. Jones Scholarship Fund in the lobby of the Nelson Administration Building at 2:00pm today.
“Robert Jones is an important member of our group and has done so much for our community,” said Frank Webb, Sr, President of the Kappa Gamma Lambda chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha. “We are so pleased that our fraternity can give back to our local students though his scholarship fund.”
Texarkana College president Dr. Jason Smith said he is grateful for the support from the Fraternity in helping to honor Jones through the donation.
