It was an active weekend in sports that saw area volleyball lineups in tournament action.
The Hooks Lady Hornets had a very successful weekend, ending it with a 7-1 record that included a three set win over Linden- Kildare with a score of 25-20, 25-15 and 2519.
In the match, Kinsley Birdwell led the scoring with eight points, including four aces. She also added 10 kills and seven digs in the contest. Alee Winniford added seven points and 14 assists and Morgan Creer was tough up front with 13 kills and a pair of blocks.
