Bowie’s Best Athlete of the Week
This week’s Bowie’s Best Athlete of the Week is 19-year-old Trenton Gibson. Trenton is from New Boston and a 2023 graduate of New Boston High School. The 2022-2023 season was his first year in the Special Olympics. He participates in both the spring track and field events as well as fall softball. Trenton loves hanging out with his friends and family and going to the movies. He also loves to play video games, especially Destiny. And he’s looking forward to applying for his first job soon to be able to buy his favorite things. Trenton said his favorite part of participating in the games is being able to make memories with his friends and teammates. He is already looking forward to the 2023-2024 games.
