The Hooks Lady Hornets hosted the Been There, Dug That tournament last week and when the dust had settled on all of the pool play and bracket games they saw themselves as the tournament champion. They earned the top spot with a championship match win over Hughes Springs with a score of 25-16,16-25,25-16.
Anna Beth Black had a total of 11 serving points in the match and Morgan Creer was in beast mode up at the net with 15 kills and three blocks. Rayya Brown was tough up front too with eight kills and Kisley Birdwell added five kills and 10 digs to help the Lady Hornets walk away with the trophy.
It was a total team effort for the Lady Hornets and Coach Kaci Price. Addy Hale had 16 assists in the match while Alee Winniford had 10 assists, and Maddie Campbell was in double digits in digs with ten.
