The Bowie County Master Gardeners and Texas A&M-Texarkana’s Extended Education and Community Development Department will host the program “Growing Fruits, Berries, and a Nut” on Monday, September 11, 2023, from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM. The class is free and open to the public.
The class will take place in the Texas A&M Texarkana University Building, Room 326. No reservation is required to attend.
The presenter for this program is Dr. Brian Triplett, Bowie County Extension Agent. Growing food in the home lawn or garden space can supplement your household needs or provide an additional source of income. With good planning, you can successfully grow several types of fruits and berries on a small scale in your spare time. Timing of planting, soil preparation, and variety selection are keys to starting one of these projects correctly. Come to this program to help ensure that both your thumb and your plants stay green.
