The Lady Lions had a solid week on the volleyball court last week, ending it on Saturday with a 2nd place finish in the Commerce tournament. The ladies went 5-0 before falling in the championship game to 5A Hallsville.
In pool play on Thursday, the Lady Lions and Coach Scott Usrey were close to perfect, winning each match in straight sets.
They first toppled Como- Pickton as Karli Strain paced the team with 13 points from the service line and 14 assists. Jayla Rowden was a force up front with nine kills and Ava Littleton contributed to the win with eight digs.
