A DeKalb man will serve 20 years in prison for purchasing sex from an operation that sold trafficked women.
Ryan Allen Layne, 48, pleaded guilty to one count of continuous trafficking of persons, three counts of aggravated sexual assault, seven counts of solicitation of prostitution, two counts of prostitution and one count of aggravated promotion of prostitution. His case was overseen by 202nd District Judge John Tidwell.
Because of Texas law, Layne will not be eligible for parole because of the trafficking charge.
