The longest rivalry in Texas high school football took to the field Friday night in New Boston, and it definitely lived up to the hype. When the dust settled, the DeKalb Bears took the Traveling Trophy back home with them for the seventh straight year as they won the game by a final score of 4828.
The DeKalb offense amassed impressive stats for the second straight week as the offense racked up a total of 570 yards.
Senior QB Winky Williams had a second straight All-Star week as he rushed for 239 yards on 21 carries and scored five times. Kayden Wherry also eclipsed the 200-yard mark on the ground with 17 carries for 237 yards and pa pair of scores.
