Students, faculty and parents donated a bit of themselves to save lives at the New Boston High School blood drive Thursday.
LifeShare Blood Center of Texarkana set up their mobile blood center inside the band hall at NBHS to collect lifesaving blood donations.
“One out of every seven patients who go into the hospital receive some form of blood products, so donations are important … Nothing being made by man that can substitute blood. It has to come from humans,” said Lisa Irvin, blood drive coordinator for LifeShare.
