Plaques were awarded to the top three placings: 1 st place was Kristy Seals with a total visual & chemical score of 89.2 and 17.8 % crude protein; 2 nd place was Ivan Pickering, with a total score of 86.0 and 15.2% crude protein; and 3 rd place was Ivan Pickering, with a total score of 83.5 and crude protein of 14.7%.
Bowie County SWCD is a non-profit agency and without the support from our local community we would not be able to offer events such as this and other’s we put on throughout the year. We want to thank all who came out and participated in the Expo and a special thank you to all producers who entered a hay sample in the contest. A big thank you to all who worked to make this a great Expo.
