Bowie County Cowboy Church is set to bring a new twist to the local rodeo circuit as they will host their first ever Mule Rodeo on Saturday, November 18th.
The rodeo will feature events for both work mules and riding mules that are sure to bring a new look at what most are used to seeing at a rodeo. There will also be a chuck wagon on the grounds set up to sell some tasty food for all to enjoy. The work mule events include a wagon obstacle course, an outhouse race and a log pull. On the riding mule side of the competition, events will include cowboy polo, a barrel race, buddy on a barrel competition, a noodles of fun obstacle course and finally, a wild mule saddling competition. These events are sure to bring a laugh to all as the cowboys and cowgirls in the arena show off their skills.
All of the day’s events will be held at the Bowie County Cowboy Church located at 1154 Daniels Chapel Road in New Boston. The books will open at 10 a.m. that Saturday morning and the events will startup at 11 a.m. All pulling events will be both team and single.
