Gifted and talented referrals for Redwater Independent School District kindergarten students will be accepted from Monday, November 13 until Tuesday, November 28, 2023. I will send packets home with all kindergarten students on November 13, 2023. Filling out the referral form is optional. Late referral forms will not be accepted after the deadline of November 28.
Characteristics of gifted children include unique and unusual ways of solving problems, putting unrelated ideas together in new and different ways, an advanced vocabulary, and an ability to express themselves well.
Teachers, counselors, parents, and interested community members are welcome to refer students for the program. You may pick up a referral packet from the elementary school’s office beginning November 13, 2023.
