There is a song I really like right now called “Fear is a Liar.” I have no doubt that Zach Williams likely sang it at his concert locally last week. The song has a great message and it is one that is very relevant this week. The song has lyrics that say, “Fear, he is a liar, He will take your breath, Stop you in your steps, Fear he is a liar, He will rob your rest, Steal your happiness, Cast your fear in the fire, ‘Cause fear he is a liar.”
It refers to fear as a person because fear comes from one place, and that is a place opposite of Heaven.
Friday night in New Boston there was cause for fear. A couple of hoodlums ran through a neighborhood banging on doors and windows and firing .223 rounds from an automatic weapon and struck a small child. An incident like that will strike fear in anybody.
